12v Volt Battery- Traditonal Flooded Lead Acid or AGM

I am so confused! Lol!

Based on my research, I still think it's Traditional Flooded.! I guess we will see if the battery is operational when it's fully charged. I've been charging under the Tradional Flooded setting since 6 am this morning! Lol

Going to crank it up tomorrow . We will see.

your pic is a leaded acid battery with liquid in it..

all you have to do is unscrew one of those caps and look inside and you will see the acid in there. My 5th gen had the same kind of battery and lasted almost five years and was still good but I replaced it with a AGM.

Thanks for the info @mikeduff . When you switched to the AGM, did you have to do any hacks to the system ?

I saw some YouTube videos and someone switched to the AGM but did something to the system so it can handle the AGM battery.

Not sure how to explain it. Kinda gave up in the middle of the video.

No, it's just a 12 volt battery with a glass mat internal so it doesn't leak.

My 5th gen early model was so basic, I was expecting to have to recalibrate the windows but that did not happen.

I have read some articles on maintenance with the 6th gen that the windows had to be recalibrated and the rear hatch once the 12th volt is disconnected. I'm not sure about hybrid models.

All this nonsense is easily bypassed with an OBD connector that has a 9 volt battery attachment. This retains the power within the small memory settings.

Well if you don't have any extra running gear that draws excessive power from your battery Reserves, I would just use it for the next couple of years and then think about changing it out.

These batteries last a long time without excessive draining. My 5th gen did not have any extra drain on the battery outside of me using the inverter to occasionally plug in my electric chainsaw and cut firewood. Like I mentioned earlier I had four years on it and it was still good when I changed it out.
For the cost of a new battery, you could get a jump pack, or a really nice Tire inflator.
Just my two cents here.
