1st. Thanks @Cali Raised LED for excellent customer service. There was a delay on the shipment but they let me know about it right away. After I received the package, I saw one of the pod lights had what looked like a bunch of cracks on one side of the reflector part. Imagine wrinkles in foil. I sent them photos and video and they immediately told me they would be sending a replacement pod. I watched 2 of their videos on how to install them on a 2024 Tacoma and it was the same for the 6th gen 4Runner.
The way they instruct you to wire it up is the easiest but it bothered me that the button did not light up with the other buttons. Thanks to @StickerFab and his YouTube video. He mentioned his diode dynamics button used the yellow wire for the backlight. It’s the same for the cali raised buttons. I decided to guess which color wire for the stock buttons controlled the backlights. I guessed green and got lucky. I used a triple tap thing( sorry I don’t know the actual name for it). Here are some pics of the splice and the backlight on and the backlight on with the bar light on to show the pod lights are on.
Oh! I used the fueling button for the tap.
Green factory wire is for backlight. You’re gonna splice the yellow wire from the Cali raised button to the factory green. It would have been easier if I tapped into the auto high beam button, which was my original plan. Don’t know why I went with the fuel cap button.
