Hybrid fan word of warning -- keep your battery fans clean

A word of caution, I was out off roading yesterday and it was quite dusty. Once I got back to the shop I blew the interior out with a compressor before wiping it down. When I got to the fan opening for the hybrid battery and blew air into it I got a ton of dust out of it.

Don't forget to keep your battery fans clean because I can see those filters getting clogged easily.

Nope, just blew it off the face of the grille and seen how much dust came out. I'll be pulling them later today and checking and possibly replacing them.

I plan on changing mine every 15k miles. I will check them at every oil change though.

Just got back from the Rockies and lots of dirt driving : Yes lots of dust in the cabin & I was rolling windows up mostly on dry, faster sections. I would keep a spare filter(s) if I did that very often.
Barely made it back to work, but checking the filters is on my priority to do list.

These are listed for the Land Cruiser and Sequoia

I would think they are the same for 4runner.
