ARK micro splash guards installation?

Ordered these after discussing with a couple other forerunner owners. Received my kit there’s no installation Instructions included and their YouTube video link no longer is active. Anybody happen to have the installation instructions for these mudflaps?

What are advantages of all this stuff in the video? (I'm genuinely curious.)

Looks almost pointless to me. Maybe the ARK are a little stronger and flatter, so less likely to get ripped apart from things scraping against them. But the splash coverage area looks only microscopically more than stock. Not enough to actually make any difference at all for mud or snow splashing onto the stuff in there.
