Digital Key Issues

It’s been very annoying that the Toyota App, Digital Key, Remote Start, Locking / Unlocking doors does not work on my new 2025. It worked perfect on my 2022. I’ll TRY again to REMOVE the Vehicle From the APP, remove and re-install it again. Anyone else having issues using the digital key on their vehicle?

My Pro didn’t come with the digital key. I believe that was a $245 add on but mine was already built before I could say yes. So mine doesn’t have it. I don’t know that it’s even worth it truly bc I always use the Toyota App anyway.

I use the app too and pay for it.. I paid for the digital key too.. but it’s pissing me off that I can’t make it work like it should.

I have used it without issue (aside from the app logging me out once while I was out for some reason. Logged back in and worked fine, didn't need to set up digital key again.)

I take it you did the bluetooth key download that the app prompts you to?

I use the app too and pay for it.. I paid for the digital key too.. but it’s pissing me off that I can’t make it work like it should.

It seems pretty glitchy on mine, sometimes it recognizes the digital key and unlocks the door, other times I have to try multiple times for it to work. (this is with me holding the phone in my hand) I'll try to up the key to high sensitivity to see if that works, but if not, I'm probably just going to plan to carry the fob with me.

I take it you did the bluetooth key download that the app prompts you to?

Does the digital key work for you without opening the app? I can get it to work if I open the app and give it a second, which to me defeats the purpose. My partner has a Rivian and the digital key for that is always on, car responds as I approach. I think that is how this is intended to work?

I have had continuous issues with my digital key.
Pros:
1. remote lock and unlock doors
2. starts car
3. allows me to see the status of vehicle
Cons:
1. Will not allow me to start the car unless I hold the phone close to push/start button. It will usually take multiple attempts before it picks up the digital key. Vert frustrating if your key fob is at home!
2. The app logs out after a short time, and I have to sign back in and wait for it to send me a pass code. I have face ID on my iPhone but it never seems to work correctly.
3. With the app open it will not give me convenient access when unlocking and locking the doors.

* I have a 2023 Ford Bronco Wildtrak with the lifetime FordPass Mobiltiy App and it works like it should every time I use it. When I click the app it connects immediately and is always logged in.

even without digital key on our 23 tundra our profiles load up correctly and settings load either via the phone or the key fob.

My Pro doesn’t have Digital Key. I’m probably one of not many that doesn’t have it.
When I got my allocation I was told it didn’t and they asked if it was a dealbreaker bc if so they’d keep trying or get me another Mudbath,

well i have figured out why my vehicle beeps like mad when i lock it with manually and close the door.

if i leave my phone inside, the digital key on my phone freaks the vehicle out thinking there is a fob inside. only happens when i manually lock the doors before closing the drivers door and dont use the fob.

have to hit the fob lock button to turn off the beeping due to phone inside the vehicle.
