nice! also sending mine in next week for PPF and tint like i had on my STi. I haven't purchased a new ride in 14 years so been out of the protection game for awhile and i've seen mention of ceramic quite a bit. What are the benefits/drawbacks and overall use-case for ceramic? Assuming it is a coating of some sort?
Congrats again. How are you liking it so far? So, a ceramic coating helps with UV protection, as well as daily driving dirt, grime, bird droppings, sap, etc. It will also be much easier to clean and protect your paint that way. However, it won't protect from road debris, rock chips, etc. The PPF is 7-11 mm thick and will protect from damage like that, along with brush rubbing up against the car offloading, etc. and is also self healing in the sun and also much more expensive. A PPF front protection package can run up to $2,500 and a full body can run as much as $10k. Ceramic is rated in years that it's guaranteed and if you go with a 3-5 year package, I think it runs around $1,200-$2,000 depending. There are plenty if YouTube videos opining on the benefits and drawbacks on each. Hope that helps!

Loving it! Even been taxing my wife for excuses to haul the kid around or run errands just to get extra time in! Appreciate the breakdown here, will have to do some homework on it. For my STi i did 3M PPF full wrap on the front bumper as well as fender flares and side mirrors and over the 13 years i had it the protection was stellar. I plan to do something similar on the 4Runner but will also probably wrap the fender flares with something else later down the road.

I am in the same boat had my 2002 Tundra and just upgraded had some cars but not counting them. I will find out more Monday taking it for tint and explaning ceramic and PPF I saw TRD Jon did his entire 4runner with PPF and ceramic was about 11K so I will be looking at partial coatings.

After a very long wait (deposit placed May '24) i finally came up on my Underground TRD Pro. Blind luck really as i was #7 on the list at my waitlisted dealer for an Underground or Black TRD Pro. Got a call from my dealer saying the #4 cat backed out at the last minute on the only Underground Pro allocation the dealer has seen and asked if I wanted to move up! Big thanks to @Mudbath for giving me heads up on a ton of local and non-local Pro allocations over the last month or two i was probably on at least half a dozen lists at other dealers in the hunt. Turns out in the end my original dealer came through!

Been raining here in Colorado the last 3+ days so its a little dirty and when I picked it up yesterday it was pouring but today the sun is out and I managed to snap a couple pics this afternoon. After almost 14 years in a Subaru STi i'm likely wearing new vehicle goggles here but absolutely loving it so far! All the tech features that aren't over a decade old are great and even though i'm going easy on it for the first 1-2K miles it feels like its got a ton of low end power so far. First couple mods are going to be the screen protector from ScreenProTech (already on order) and probably some running boards so the wife and kiddo who are small people have an easier time getting in and out.

That is the color I will be getting with my Limited next week. I got a note from the dealer it arrived at the Long Beach port over the weekend. They just have to process it and put on the accessories I wanted. They do that for all 4Runners at the Toyota facility at the Long Besch, CA port area. I live in Southern California so the delivery to the dealer from the port is very short drive.

Curious about the stock suspension on the pro. Are you likely to keep it stock or swap to aftermarket?
For now most likely keep whats on it. Further down the road may reconsider if i get into bigger tires/lifts etc but so far it rides really great!

Have you hit any forest service roads or anything harder yet?

nothing more exciting than some local dirt roads out here. I do plan to take it across rampart range road the next time I am in the colorado springs area though.
