Congrats again. How are you liking it so far? So, a ceramic coating helps with UV protection, as well as daily driving dirt, grime, bird droppings, sap, etc. It will also be much easier to clean and protect your paint that way. However, it won't protect from road debris, rock chips, etc. The PPF is 7-11 mm thick and will protect from damage like that, along with brush rubbing up against the car offloading, etc. and is also self healing in the sun and also much more expensive. A PPF front protection package can run up to $2,500 and a full body can run as much as $10k. Ceramic is rated in years that it's guaranteed and if you go with a 3-5 year package, I think it runs around $1,200-$2,000 depending. There are plenty if YouTube videos opining on the benefits and drawbacks on each. Hope that helps!nice! also sending mine in next week for PPF and tint like i had on my STi. I haven't purchased a new ride in 14 years so been out of the protection game for awhile and i've seen mention of ceramic quite a bit. What are the benefits/drawbacks and overall use-case for ceramic? Assuming it is a coating of some sort?
