Just caught this uploaded 4 hours ago. Saving to watch tomorrow at lunch? but thought it’d be some good content and make some of you happy who were waiting for the OEM Heritage grille.

AI Summary:

? Installation Overview & Product Info
  • The video introduces the OEM [Heritage] Trail Hunter TRD grille in matte finish with bronze letters (0s).
  • Compared to the Pro version (gloss + silver letters); paint-matched Heritage Blue letters used in this install.
? Disassembly & Tool List
  • Tools: 10mm socket, 10mm closed-end wrench, clip removal tool (55s).
  • Hood popped and battery disconnected to avoid codes.
  • Step-by-step: removing fender flares, top grille bolts, bottom screws, and unhooking wiring (75s - 4:00).
? Front Camera & Sensor Adjustments
  • Noted difference: the front camera moves from bottom to top.
  • Custom camera cable extension required due to the relocation (14:20).
? Lighting & Electronics
  • Installed Alpharex fog lights: dual color (white/yellow) + amber sequential turn signal (16:45).
  • Included prototype light bar brackets, final versions will be black and powder-coated (17:15).
? Reassembly Tips
  • Careful clip alignment during grille reassembly (17:48).
  • Routed all cables, sensors, and light wiring securely before buttoning it back up (21:00).
? Camera Calibration Warning
  • Relocating the camera alters 360° camera geometry, causing misaligned parking lines.
  • Suggested: visit a dealer to recalibrate with T-Pro/Trail Hunter profile (23:15).
? Wrap-Up & Custom Additions
  • Final walk-through shows:
    • Trail Hunter grille with color-matched letters.
    • Alpharex fog lights demoed.
    • Installed Westcott preload collar lift kit and 35” tires (25:00).
    • Used TRD Pro wheels (previous gen), required minor trimming.

Waiting on my TRD Pro (should be delivering next week) and it has Front TOYOTA Matte Black Overlays. I saw another video that showed Front TOYOTA Mudbath Overlays and I’m not a fan of the look. We’ll see how the Matte Black looks but I’m betting I’ll take these off or if that’s not possible, just get a Pro OEM Grille or paint match on an OEM Grille like the video.

Here are the front TOYOTA Mudbath Overlays

Does anyone know if a Toyota dealer could just order the OEM parts needed and install it for you (including the camera recalibration)?

It’s cool that Rave is offering this, but you would be paying a premium and I don’t really feel like doing the work myself.

I’m pretty sure I saw the cost for the oem part was around $700 so if anything this might be the best option….

Toyota definetly made it harder to swap grills and fog lights. Such a pain in the butt to take the whole front off. Would’ve done a the pro grill immediately but I think I’ll be content with just a blacked out emblem.

Was thinking the same thing. I think eventually I will do the heritage grill but its not going to be at the top of my list now
