OTT Downpipe for Hybrid 4Runner arrived

Just as a follow up, I haven’t been able to upload before and after sound clip videos. A message states the files are too large. I even tried to share from a file sharing location, but the sound goes away. Of note, the videos don’t do it justice anyway. You cannot tell there’s much difference. There’s a more noticeable “growl” with the new Downpipe that you just cannot pick up on in the video.

I’ll try uploading again from a browser instead of the app to see if that makes a difference.

Well, very disappointed with OTT as they advised me today to just get the FaF downpipe

they couldn’t confirm accurate pricing and gave different prices based on the day I’d inquire which is kinda shady, then delay after delay from their manufactures limes

needless to say, they told me to order the FaF downpipe as they can’t get their stuff together

I will post a separate thread and video before and after of the install once that one comes in

That’s disappointing! However, I will say that they look identical. As soon as the one from OTT came out, I placed my order. Did FaF offer a shielding for it, or are you considering a ceramic coating? Even without, the under hood temperatures go down with the aftermarket downpipe.

Hey, what did FaF say about shielding or thermal protection on their downpipe, will they do it?

I was initially looking at the OTT but loved how much cleaner the welds looked on the FaF. If they are pushing people to the FaF I might just go there instead. I would like some type of heat protection even if they say there's no need which is why I am curious.

I really like how the ceramic coating turned out on mine. You are already reducing heat with an updated Downpipe, but the coating reduces it another 30-40%. I’d imagine an added heat shield is in the same ballpark, if not better.

This was a downpipe that was shipped to another client and lost in transit. The carrier found it and returned it after we had already supplied the client with a replacement.

Your comments via email suggesting you'll "just go to FaF" prompted us to just direct you there. They make a wonderful and beautiful downpipe. If we can't fulfill an order, I'm more than happy to direct folks in their direction.
