Rough country power running boards installed today. Works great! Used Amazon rock lights in place of the lights rough country provides. Way brighter, aluminum, water proof, and fits in the OEM brackets nicely.

Did you install them yourself or have it done? I was quoted like 1800 to install them just for the labor and was like no way. I'm sure I could do it myself though.

There's only 6 bolts per side. Just need to lay down & tighten them in. Very easy! You can buy a set of sockets tool for ~$100 & still have $1,700 left for spending!

Don't pay a shop to do this, please. That's like paying them to refill your washer fluid.

Dealer also quoted me $1800 to have these installed. I went with a shop that took 6h and charged me their hourly rate. It’s a lot more involved than 6 bolts. Unlike other applications where the brain links to the OBD2, this uses four independent magnet sensors that need to be mounted at the A/B pillars. Installer says it’s a pain in the ass install.

Looks great.
How about the electrical part?
Bolting the boards looks like the easy part.
Thanks.
