All the above. Anything I should look out for.
approximately $1000.00 including shipping.
‘what I like about the one I’m looking at is the simple low profile, and light weight. It does have aluminum top and bottom.

Maybe a link to the one you are thinking about would help. Most everything is made in China and stuff that is made in America usually only costs more, does not mean better quality per-say. When it comes to strapping something to my vehicle and putting my life and those around me in question, I like to see actual reviews of the item over where it is assembled.

you can find virtually every single brands tents on Chinese sites. I looked into it and they were not that good of deal after shipping. They are more designed to sell a lot of them for someone to slap their name on and resell.

Nearly all of them are now, with a few exceptions. They're supposedly all manufactured in one place and different "brands" slap their names on them. With that said...

We have a wedge-style Wildfinder and it's fantastic for two people. I'm an outdoor/travel journalist, and my husband (who's 6'4 or 6'5) and I rented a few rigs with different versions of them over a couple of years. This style anyway, are literally all identical. Rented one from a guy who also owned iKamper and Roam tents, guy works with OnX mapping, basically spends a LOT of time overlanding, and he recommended the specific one we ended up buying. No photo of it on my runner yet (she makes her maiden voyage with it in 2 weeks), but you can easily find it online and here's one of those rentals for reference. Also, I mentioned my husband's height because he fits comfortably inside with me, able to sit up, use the ladder, etc.

I have the openroad 4wd and I like the extra lift by the feet that it has while still being a clamshell style. It’s not lightest anymore but was one of the lightest at the time.

I've been looking at switching to this one or this style. Can you leave anything in it when you close it? My bushveld II fits 2 pillows and my deflated exped without issue and would like to keep the same.

They say no. I have never tired pillows. I can not fit the Big Agnes double bag in it and close it. I keep the mattress warmer, and I was able to keep the extra insulation for the tent in it.

It is really low profile when closed. I has a metal floor not a full box like others. Closed its like 5". There are others with the x hinge style that are bigger that will fit things most likely. Lightweight and clamshell were to most important things so I can quickly open up and close in snow storms.

The garage ratchet strap set up is clean! Gives me another reason to install a side mounted garage door opener.
