Hi all ,

Just wanted to share my experience. Last year I bought a Limited 6gen - thinking the AVS suspension was the way to go. Long story short , I got rid of it (excuses of commute - but reality was mixed emotions with the vehicle). As of today , I took delivery of a TRD Pro , set the suspension to setting 2 , and dropped psi from the factory 39/40 to 33 and can't be happier with it

Im mostly sharing this info for those who were as me, confused on different setups and ride quality, asking AI or searching for feedback. And due to the scarcity of inventory , it's not easy for everyone to just find and test drive 3-4 different trims. The Pro just feels right as a daily. Absorbs the nasty bumps, while the smaller imperfections on the road remind you why you got this thing in the first place, them Child bearing hips- is the easiest way I can explain it. My previous vehicles have been many : Bmw's (x5, x7, i4) Porsche panamer and taycan, a Lexus TX (wife) ,Range Sport, and some cheap others : Nissan, Kia. This thing is a perfect medium ride quality wise, with the cherry on top being the capabilities , long term value (crossing fingers) and the fact that it looks super awesome

Hope this helped !

Very nice! No roof racks or steps? I find that odd on Pro model unless you plan to add aftermarket.

Those stock tires have less treads than regular version. Are you changing tires soon?

Actually just added the arb 3/4 roof a few hrs after delivery. Debating between predator steps or oem trd running boards (3kids). Getting ceramic tint done tomorrow and ceramic coating Wednesday.

dont plan on modding much, was gonna go ORP but figured the pro has everything i want already. The lights, wheels, styling and all the creature comforts I wanted

Please don't add the Predator Steps. I sold mine & as well as many others. They are in awkward spot, too low & not practical or ergonomic for daily use.

The TRD running board would be better, for you & the kids!

When I bought my limited they only had an off road premium and it rode nice. I wanted the limited and I thought it would ride just as nice or better. I was in for a surprise, the limited rides very rough. The dealers hardly ever have stock of various models to drive.

Replace the 20’s and go for 17-18 and a thicker tire. I had done that when i had the limited and saw and improvement. My issue w the limited was the avs suspension is different from all other trims , hard to find mods for it

I was fortunate to have a couple of local dealers with a TRD Pro, Limited, TRD off road, and SR5 available for a test drive within a few days of each other. The Limited ride was harsh, TRD Pro was good, but I didn't want to spend that much for this vehicle, so I went with the SR5, which has the next best road manners.... I'll probably upgrade the standard shocks with something better, but not sure what at this point. Ride is decent, but a little "jiggly" on smaller road imperfections.

OP stated they reduced the air pressure in the TRD Pro tires from 39 to 33 psi. What is the recommended pressure written on the sticker for that vehicle? Was it simply over inflated from the dealer or did you drop it 6-7 PSI for comfort?

For a quick fix, purchase a set of used ORP running boards until you determine if you want to spend in the 1000s. I picked up a set for $200 and they are perfect for my kids who are 6 & 9.

Yes. The less pressure means a bit more cushion for absorption. Try it. I wouldn’t say a night a difference, but something minor.

I was debating that, mind sending a photo of what yours looks like since I practically have your twin

Does anyone have feedback on how the Platinum drives? I have 1 on order, only mod I am thinking is swapping the 20" wheels for the 18" TRD Pro wheels.
