Looking at a new setup.
Wheels are 17 x 9. + 0.
Tires are Toyo 265/70/17 Toyo

One shop says aggressive but good.
One says too aggressive and no way.

Coming to the source here for final word.

I like the aggressive look. I’m running 295/70/17 Mickey Thompson AT tires with 17 in Vossens zero offset.

Some thoughts: These tires are the SAME width and an inch SMALLER in diameter than the stock on TRD OR/PRO/TH - and the difference in suspensions between Platinum and those other trims is not that great. (Ground clearance spec difference from Platinum to TRD OR is only .3" - less than what you get from half the difference in tire size (.45") - which does call into question the graound clearance table in the spec).
Now the +0 offset is a problem if you are trying to go any larger than stock tire but for a tire an inch smaller than what fits on other trims and virtually the same size (31.6 vs 31.5") as Platinum stock I think might be OK.
I think the first shop is probably right: aggressive (from a relative poke standpoint) but probably good.
But if there is an issue, its that +0 offset - might cause rub on crash plate or air dam tab - both can be handled easily if you really want that poke (and I think there is a good chance they would not rub given that smaller diameter.) And if you plan to offroad there is a chance that at full articulation up the rear tire might contact the fender flare.
Will also note that the 9" wheel width is at the top end of range for those Toyos - but is in range.
And I don't have a Platinum so maybe I'm missing something else....
OTOH offset closer to one of the stock values (+55, +45, or even at the limit +20 (PRO/TH) would probably remove all risk.

Thanks. Looking at 265/70/17 grappler G3 on the wheels. Math says almost 3 inches out from where they currently sit…but they’re pretty tucked in
