Those shops (Yota Xpedition, 4Runner Lifestyles, Cali Raised, etc..) buy aftermarket Made-in-China taillights & add a high markup!

Just buy the same taillights on Ebay (they got from the same source in China) for less than half the cost.

Here's an example below:

You can even find same style as OEM Sport/Trailhunter/Limited/Platinum/Pro with horizontal bars.

Same for headlights!

I stumbled on this from other research for offroad lights. There's a sponsored shop on this forum, M & R, that kept posting about their light bar that they got for cheap from China & sell with markup.

I completely agree with the statements regarding the rebranding and markup of these Chinese parts. However, if support & service is a potential, eBay might not be the best option. I know a few Taco owners that made several purchases from Yota Xpedition that ran into issues several months after purchasing and installing the parts. Yota Xpedition did a great job acknowledging the defects and replacing the parts in a timely fashion.

It's good to have options and everyone can make their own choices, but the support aspect may or may not be a factor for some.

Yota Xpedition's website said they only warranty their brand of products. The Atlas brand isn't there so that's a risk to take. Further, those Ebay's light are $192 vs $446+shipping from Yota. If they go bad, you can buy 2nd pair & still saving some cost lol.

I bought a set of the Platinum style taillights from eBay and they are great! Easy to install (10 minutes), perfect fit and function. They look nice and compliment the front headlights and trim package. I am not a "bling" type guy, these look like they should have been on the car to start with! Total $230 including tax.
