Would replacement of hood prop null warranty?

I've also replaced good struts in my Prius 2013 it's been on for more than 10 years and still worming without any issues.

I did the same for my Runner. Nothing fancy like my Prius and paid less than half price than the popular redlines and it's working flawlessly.

I've been wanting to do this to my '26 Limited Hybrid. Are you still happy with yours? I worry about the cheaper priced ones but I hate paying high prices if they're unnecessary. How long have you had them installed. I'm ticked at Toyota for this downgrade.

They are literally the same struts as the name brands. My buddy bought the Redline struts for over $100 and zero difference except the Redline name on them. I still make fun of him!
I've bought non-branded struts for my BMW and again, same quality as OEM or name brand.
Struts are nothing fancy, don't over pay.

unless they fail within first few months, most cheap ones will last. its not like you are opening/closing the hood daily to wear them out

old age or temp extremes will make them fail before over use of the seals/gaskets
