As far as I can tell, there are no any aftermarket digital rearview mirror setups that use a wireless rear camera? Assuming could be wired into existing power source from the rear door or cargo area.

Why not? What am I missing?

probably power... you forget to charge it and it goes dead while driving?

a bunch of Toyotas
a camera that produces good video and writes to SDcard uses a
power hungry chipset and produces heat. will drain an onboard battery
fast. And onboard lithiums are damaged by the heat and cold of being
in a parked vehicle over time.

the best dashcams have supercapacitors which are largely
immune from the punishing heat and cold being trapped in a parked vehicle
and have extremely short runtimes, solely to be able to write the last files to sdcard.
these need external power to operate hourly

so say you want a rear cam that simply transmits video to a wired front cam.
you still need a power hungry chipset and it's transmission will need to be robust
to stream video to a front cam that has the sdcard. and that battery problem...

The tech is not there yet because there's no demand for that product outside of the "off-roading" community, which probably less than 1% of all drivers.

Wired is always the best option for reliability & stability.

Not a rear-view mirror specifically, but there are plenty of wireless options out there. I have one (that I have yet to install) for my Skoolie. They have their own display, and many can handle multiple cameras. Just search on Amazon.
