All had/have a better transmission compared to the 26 4Runner. At times, this 4Runner feels like I'm strapped to an atom smasher.

Macan GTS. First German car. Fun to drive but wanted something more practical. A little different feeling hitting those hairpin turns. $2100 for winter tires also swayed me.

Drove a 1998 Jeep TJ Two Door until 2013. Then got a 2013 Jeep JKU. LOVED my Jeeps! But... after driving my Yota for the past few months I keep asking myself "Why the hell did I bounce around in those Jeeps for so long??" Must have been the ability to go topless!

I traded a 2013 Volvo XC70 for a TRD Off Road Premium. Other than ride and mileage it may be a sideways move if you take away the extraordinary off road capacity of the Toyota. I was surprised that the ORP only has an extra inch of ground clearance. The maintenance on the Volvo was minimal usually a couple oil changes. With two years with 2k$ cost. I expect similar from the Toyota. I hated the dealer before I left the lot so I’ll be doing oil changes and will seek out an independent for major service. I am not a mod guy but a quick run on a fire road has piqued my curiosity. I don’t know any off roaders and I wouldn’t go alone so we’ll see what happens. Looking forward to a longer trip to see if I can improve on the 18 mpg average. My weekly mileage has gone from 100 to 200 😎. I was getting three weeks out of a partial fill up on the Volvo but only two on a fill up for the Toyota.
