If Toyota provides 40A, I assume they put in the proper gauge. That's why I wish they put in 40A for in-cabin instead of 10A. I'm not sure if there is an easy way to run thick gauge wires from the engine compartment to inside the cabin?

Way easier than on the 3g Tacoma. The grommet through the firewall is easier to get to and much more flexible, at least on the non-hybrid version.

No offense intended but it sounds like you're not evaluating this right. The table I linked to above (wire gauge vs max current at 12V vs distance) is universal. Brand of car doesn't change it.

Toyota only provides the pigtail and we know they minimize cost on everything so the gauge they provide in the very short pigtail for the 40A circuit is at best the minimum for that short distance. When you wire from the pigtail to some accessory, it's up to the owner to figure the distance of the route and appropriate gauge for the max current capacity of the circuit (i.e. not the accessory). Toyota would deny all liability for any damage cause by an owner not choosing the appropriate wire gauge for an accessory. It's not difficult to choose the right gauge, and the consequences of not following it could be bad. Hope this helped.

the part numbers for the pigtails are PT974-89251 and PT974-89252

Does anyone have any idea where all 4 connectors are? I can only find 3...

I found 2 in the engine by the front bumper, and one in the cabin up under the steering wheel

where is the 4th?

The 4Runner hybrid has 2 plugs in the engine compartment and 1 under the dash. There is one more but I'm not sure where it is yet. You half to purchase the pigtails separately from Toyota.
any luck finding the 4th switch connector? I only found 3 as well....

I had 3 separate pigtails in boxes when I picked up my Pro. 1 pigtail for the "high" power switches and two for the "low" power switches

one is hi aux, the other is low aux.

the connector on the hi kit is larger...seems to fit the larger connect up near the front bumper
I've got two connection points together close to the front bumper. just eyeballing them right now it seems hard to tell which is which.

Thanks. I’ll take a closer look. So I’m guessing Aux 2 and 3 are interchangeable for the last two switches.
so after a little more digging and reading the owners manual, I think I figured it out.

The larger connector pigtail, plugs into the engine bay near the front bumper, and handles aux 1 and 2 (4 wires, 1 power and 1 ground for each switch)

the smaller connector pigtail, plugs into either the engine bay (next to the larger) or in the cabin (under the steering wheel area), and handles aux 3 and 4. (2 power wires, 1 common ground, and a white wire that I have no idea does what yet)

to utilize all 4 switches, you only need two of the pig tails, the larger one, and the smaller one. It just depends on where the accessories that you are hooking up are. If they are on the outside of the vehicle, might be more practical to use the engine bay connectors vs the one in the cabin.

...more to come as I learn more.

totally makes sense. here's a question.. Let's just call the two Low Power Pigtails "2 and 3" for common language. Could you plug both pigtails 2 and 3 in and run Aux 3 off of Pigtail 2 and Aux 4 off of Pigtail 3? I don't really see why you couldn't as long as you tape off the unused wires?!?! maybe I'm missing something.. Here's what I'm currently planning..
Aux 1: ARB single compressor
Aux 2: Ditch Lights?
Aux 3: Extra fog lights when winch bumper is installed or Scene Lights
Aux 4: Midland MTX275 GMRS
