Best source for that is what? I've seen a few sources, each with different amounts. :(
kbb will give you an overall invoice price based on selected options but they wont give you the full selection of options to pick from. so you can get a rough ballpark for invoice.

you can then use the option invoice / msrp pricing post to add those options they dont have in the computation

then use the invoice and goto the invoice/msrp option price thread and add your other options to get you true invoice price

i just did my 26 platinum with the options i could select in kbb, but then you can go add the other options and get to the true invoice price. kbb is missing exactly $2k in options (msrp wise) we had on our 26 4R Platinum.

i would add is to select no options and just get the base invoice price from them and then goto the options invoice/msrp thread and then build from there.

Working on a deal for an ORP at a ~$3,200 discount ($4k minus the stupid fee to buy) off the posted prices.. Seems like it's a decent deal, and on the lot. Push for more? Or enjoy the new ride?

Lots of recent examples of 8-10% off TSRP (MSRP + options). At $63k, that thing must be pretty option-heavy.... maybe hybrid? I think you can do better....although I haven't checked inventories/allocations since we bought our ORP 2 weeks ago.

Yes to $3,200 off that.

Gasser model, and not sure where the "lots of examples of 8-10%" off are, local dealers (this place is a few hours drive). are either $0 discount or after a fight $1k.

Wheels, moonroof, and the ARB rack are close to $4k

I think $63k is decent. $60k is fine. I got my Trailhunter for ~4% off. I think I could've probably pressed for another 1% but I was happy with the price and wanted to have the deal settled before delivery.

I've seen a few here and elsewhere in the 8-10 rsnge. In our case, in mid-late Sept there were 75-80 gas ORPs either on the ground or inbound allocations within a 100 mile radius of where we live in New England....and that number had been pretty consistent for a few weeks. I started engaging with about 8 dealers during the last week of the month/quarter and half were pretty aggressive right away on price. My local dealer I've bought multiple cars from was not one of those, so we ended up buying about 100 miles away. Although some dealers opened with "these are all sold before they even hit the lot"...that was certainly not the case when we searched more widely. All done remotely.

That was not my experience earlier this year, so it may have changed. As far as the 'many on the ground', I found that the website wasn't very accurate. Many of those "available" were in production o the way, sold, or simply non-existent. I was looking for a hybrid, also, so that may have changed the equation, so to speak.

I am sure things have changed given the pending end of the model year...and perhaps the end of month/dynamic in our case.

Agreed on the web-site accuracy. When we were shopping, I had AI run a daily ORP gas summary that compared the allocation spreadsheet here with Toyota data and dealer web-sites within the hundred mile radius. It pointed out where there were discrepancies, new vehicles being added, vehicles that were removed, etc. None of the data sources are perfect, but the daily output was really helpful in tracking inventory and when new allocations were showing up (especially this late in the model year). if you are shopping for a specific color, option or spec (color in our case), AI was able to show us where and how many matches were out there.

Going to talk to the dealer again this AM, seems no clear consensus how much more room to move on pricing. The roof/rails/wheels, along with a few other smaller PIOs drive the base price up, i feel like it's a decent price, but car dealer's have a well known reputation for sleazy tactics to obfuscate the price.

I don't recall if I've posted my experience in this thread, but I went to through the Costco Auto Program and it saved me $3400 off the MSRP of my SR5, which is roughly 7.5%. No haggling, I just told them what I wanted and they returned to me with a proposed vehicle and the price-sheet. I accepted almost immediately.

Your experience may vary considerably as the Program, to the best of my knowlege, is based off some kind of algorithm. It takes into consideration trim, demand, availability, location, and so much more. But it worked out for me and I will never NOT use it when buying a new vehicle use - at a minimum - as a starting point. Worst case scenario is they give you a price sheet for you to use to negotiate against other dealers in your area to see if you can get a better deal.
