I called Weather Tech for product info.

Fronts are exact fit with no adhesive or clips.

Rears have 3M adhesive tape but no clips.

Trying to figure out if I will install or not.

Mixed reviews about window scratches, window operation malfunctions, and adhesive failing on the rear visors.

Probably fine if installed correctly but will obviously add to a tighter in channel fit.

Window scratches are inevitable when the channel gets dirty and is not cleaned frequently.

What to do...

I've only ever installed the AVS ones on previous vehicles. They worked fine but are a bit thinner than the WT ones. Now I'm having second thoughts myself. May go with the devil I know, the AVS.

Does AVS have a full set for the 6th Gen?

If so, can you provide a link?

Let me know how that goes if you decide to install it. I'm still on the fence regarding in channel visors.

I have the Toyota oem visors for my Prius and it does have scratches on the top end but I do enjoy the flexibility of being able to crack the window open on rainy days or just to get fresh air with the visors in place.

not sure if I want to deal with having to clean the channels everytime time I roll the windows up and down to prevent the scratches on the Runner.

I would wait for the AVS ones, they're taped ones last longer than the vehicles do and I've had issues with the low quality of WeatherTech products.

personally i never cared for in-channel vent visors. always got the stick on outside frame ones.

but since my 2014, i stop installing them. i no longer smoke in my vehicles so i no longer need to have to crack the window to vent smoke out.

Do you have to tape these in for them to work? I'd love and option for traveling with the dog int he back seat when it's raining, but to not have them on all the time if I don;t want.

The original poster gave details on the fitment, tape and clips. Read top down not bottom up :)

Well I’ve looked at so many different brands, I confused myself! I don’t think AVS has theirs out yet. Sorry about that. I’ll just wait a while and see what develops.
