I spent some time this weekend adding what I thought was a missed opportunity to the center console, a USB C connection. Leveraging one of the existing ports on the middle console I wanted to be sure it looked clean and could be removed in the future.

Pretty happy with how it turned out.

Could you do the same thing but tap one of the USB ports in the rear?
Can’t see why not, but the rear only support 3.0A at 5v. Wanted to take advantage of the full 45W.

if I find that I’m missing out of the additional 45W port, I can always hardwire in the console plug.

This video is actually the best one out there simply for the directions to take the console apart, never mind the actual main intended point.
