Turbos make easy power, and with the displacement, shouldn't be hard to see 300+whp.

Let's see... Intercooler+Charge Pipes, Downpipe, Throttle Body, Tune, CAI, ported intake manifolds, light weight pullies, etc. etc.. before we're talking internals, and big turbos.

What do you believe it's FBO will be?

I’m probably sitting at 315 with a CAI from SXTH and tune from OTT. Awaiting a down pipe from OTT and have a intercooler from SXTH Element. After that installation and the next compensating tune from OTT, some estimates show I might be over 400 whp. Iā€˜m going to be conservative and say that it should be in a range of 340-370hp.

Keep us updated. I understand the Down Pipe is pretty noisy and feel there's going to be some sporadic new offerings from other tuners coming. I have an '02 Mini Cooper S that was one of the most tunable vehicles I've owned. Headers and Exhaust, CAI, Throttle Body, Cylinder Head, Cam, Water to Air Intercooler, Aluminum Flywheel, Clutch and Quafe boosting the vehicle to a bump of over 100 reliable WHP. I tracked it for a season and it was a hoot. There's a lot of science to intercooler design, plus I'm sure there will be a host of Turbo upgrades down the road. Although a 4Runner will never be a canyon carver, but the engine seems reliable and capable of enduring a boost in power. Time will tell if the Aisin is up to the task. Stallantis just replaced them for a new ZF 8 Speed unit in '25 for their Diesel Trucks which have similar power characteristics as the 4Runner's new engine, especially when tuned. Respectable hp from a low revving 4.

The down pipe will be in the mail tomorrow. I will have that and the intercooler installed at the same time. I will probably get the turbo inlet from SXTH as well. There was a comment about the down pipe coupled with an aftermarket exhaust being incredibly loud, and that’s something I want to avoid!
