TRD Sport on 33" tires: 285/70/18 Falken Wildpeak AT4W (on stock suspension)

Added TRD Pro cast aluminum running boards and found these Falken Wildpeak A/T4W tires (285/70R18) on Facebook that were taken off a 2025 Tacoma.

No rubbing on stock suspension and I’ve driven it about 300 miles except for today I was backing out of parking lot and it rubbed one little bit on the front right mud flap. C range tires so ride is still normal for me.

Also installed Lasfit liners and LED front blinkers, tinted windows and windshield and installed the Sonic amplifier so far.

Have a Readylift level kit being put on Friday so will post another pic then.

Looks fantastic! I was looking at the AT4s and was wondering if 285s would work without going down to a 17” wheel, so appreciate the visuals. Do you happen to know the offset & width of those wheels? Have a nice bit of poke on them

Ah wait, realized you said they were the Tacoma wheels and found them! looks like they are 18”x8” with 45mm offset. Thanks!

I can't tell any difference, the stocks were pretty harsh to me to be honest. These are C range tires so not as bad as it would be with E range.

Yes, it is a Toyota wheel and somewhere on here they posted the part # but I don't have it readily available but seems you found it.

How are these heavy af Load Range E tires doing on the 4R?

I'm considering options, but ending up with a 90lbs wheel+tire combo gives me pause.

These are C range tires, I can’t tell any noticeable difference in power. My original choice of tires were the SL Nitto Terra Grappler but these were brand new, mounted, and 1/3 of the price I could have gotten them new and I have been pleasantly suprised how they ride, the quietness and the soft ride of them.

That's good to hear, I've been looking at replacing the stock OR wheels with the Trailhunter bronze ones.

The tire I've selected is the Bridgestone Dueler AT Ascent and there's only a couple choices in terms of fit:

- 265/70 SL Load (OE Size)

- 275/70 E Load (33")

I'd like the bigger tire, but the extra weight and stiffer rubber has me worried that it'll spoil the road manners too much.
