Yesterday, I noticed that there was some very visible paint damage on my rear bumper and realized that someone had accidentally hit my 4runner while it was parked. I decided to check the footage stored on Toyota's integrated dashcam that came with the 4runner but there were irrelevant footages under "Park" and no footage under "Events". Upon closer inspection, I saw that I had previously set the park G-force value as 6 (it ranges from 1 to 6) believing that 6 is the most sensitive setting. After this incident, I am now suspecting that 6 is actually the least sensitive setting. However, I cannot confirm whether that is correct since I couldn't find any information regarding it's scaling in the owner's manual and online resources gave me contradicting answers. I hope you guys can confirm my suspicions.
Btw, I purchased Toyota's official touch up paint but after applying multiple layers with 30 minute increments in between, the black plastic is still visible and only caused the scratch to become shiny. I've also attached pictures in case anyone is curious on the extent of the damage and my unsuccessful attempt to fix it.
Edit: I looked at the settings again and realized that for Park mode, it is Low, Medium, or High Sensitivity and I had set it to High. The sensitivity value (1 to 6) only applies to events while the vehicle is on or in motion and does not apply to when it is parked.
