Merry Christmas to Everyone!

December 22, I took delivery on my 2026 TRD Pro 4Runner. Super excited as to where this thing will take me in the Future. I just moved to Utah, was previously driving a 2015 5.0 Mustang. Living in the terrain I'm in currently, the Mustang was just not practical. Yes, I know the Car Scene is insane here in Utah, but for what I want to do, Ice Fishing, Fly Fishing, Paramotoring ect... I needed this. Let me know if you have any helpful insights as to how I should prepare for this beast of a Machine. I hope you guys enjoy the photo dump. Cheers to 2026.

Congrats! I'd say that you're better served by your new 4Runner than a Mustang since you live in Utah. By "prepare" do you mean modifications or maintenance type stuff?

Congrats! You’re going to love it! Just watch out for the ridiculously soft paint…

Congrats. Beautiful truck. In my simple mind all you need to do is go poke around offroad. I think you'll find that your vehicle is comfortable doing things that may make you feel uncomfortable. So go crawl over some relatively small obstacles and drive through some shallow water and climb a short but fairly steep hill. Eventually try to scrape one of your skid plates gently.

I use my 4R to get to canoe launch sites and although I never seek challenging offroad stuff, over the years I've gotten some surprises like deep mud, deep snow, deep hole, freshly plowed field, steep grade, ice wall left by plow, etc and in general my 4R has taught me that it's limits are higher than I expected...but deep mud should be given a lot of respect. ;)
