SPROUL State Forest offroad & camping trip - 290 offroad miles in 5 days, 2 campsites

Just spent 5 days in SPROUL State Forest, 300,000 acres spanning 6 counties.

Did 290 offroad miles in 5 days, 2 campsites... Mostly Green and Blue trails, one Red, seen 6 bear, 3 rattlesnakes, countless deer, possum, porcupine, owls, etc.

Not much for taking pics but some of the others did, I'll see what I can get from them to post.

Here's the first campsite...

Awesome time, vast and very secluded, only seen 6 other vehicles the entire 5 days....

Curios as to where you found the red trail? I live a little north of Sproul and would like to check it out.

Watch out for those rattlesnakes. They seem to be out in force this year.

Southern section a little west of Bloody Skillet, Eddie Lick Ford Trail.

Don't know your level of off roading but it's the mildest 6 I've ever been on, awesome ride but not a 6/10. All the trails here seem to be rated weird. Some green should be blue and most blue should be at most dark green....lol I found most State Forests are like this.

But as you know, scenery is second to none. I may go back in the fall for a few days.

I was on that same trail about 3 weeks ago. For around here, it's as good as it gets. Try Council Trail when you get a chance as well.
