Spoiler loose???

If anything the issue with the spoilers is I think the plastic is separating between the top and bottom. I saw a video of someone’s top half gone. Someone also was showing there whole thing not snapping closed. I checked mine and the top left side doesn’t snap shut. Not sure why they decided to use this design unless it’s for weight since the trunk is auto on some models

Mine is creaky too and flimsy. Kinda disappointing for a $60k vehicle.

I have a 2023, SR5 4Runner - my spoiler leaked into my vehicle, between the spoiler and the trunk panel- down into the floor boards. A mildew smell I cannot get rid of, awaiting to hear my fate from Toyota if it’s a factory issue or what… 60 days in to a 90 day wait. My whole life smells like mildew. Anything that goes in comes out smelling like that car. Don’t trust the spoilers. Ozone machines, pulling up carpet and replacing jute. It’s a disaster.

I'm kind of annoyed by this too -- I don't believe it's any issue with the build, it's just cheap and flimsy by design. I have a big heavy fishing kayak that I take out regularly -- I was always able to load it myself onto my Jeep by propping up the bow on the rear spoiler (with a towel down to protect the paint) and then just lifting the stern and sliding it forward onto the crossbars. Done it hundreds of times no problem. Once I got the new 4Runner I immediately noticed that the rear spoiler is hella flimsy (and probably 4x more expensive to repair) and there's no way I'd want to put any kind of weight on it.

Not a huge deal, I can solo load my boat from the side as well, but definitely another thing that's way too cheap-feeling for a $60k truck.

I think it’s flimsy because they have certain models that auto lift and close so every bit of weigh helps. Not that I agreee. My 5th gen spoiler felt like a rock nice solid piece. This 6th is two parts snapped together
