this. once in a blue moon it won't detect the phone, so I go to bluetooth devices and just
hit the button again.
I get this...and sometimes have to follow these steps when it's connected to my wife's phone instead of mine. But for some reason when I remote start the vehicle this option doesn't work.

Steps: 1. Turn engine on
2. Wait for the screen to boot up
3. Turn Radio off
4. On the screen, Go to Settings - Display - Display OFF
5. Swipe your finger from left to right 5 times, then swipe right to left 5 times

Voila! You unlocked the hidden SERVICE menu!

To ENABLE Back Camera settings, long press on it until it turns green. I mainly use this menu to fine tune my back up camera's grid lines because I could never park straight when using it. Now it's working great!

6. To turn off the Hidden Menu, long press the radio button! Wait for the confirmation screen and hit OK!

Have a great day y'all !!!

note

there are additional hidden menus

on the screens with the rectangular selection boxes,
sometimes there is a completely hidden box below
another. hold your finger on the empty spots below
some selections and sometimes a hidden feature is
accessible.

also ... greyed out boxes, just long press and
then it can be accessed

Does this work on non-hybrid trims? Can't seem to get it to trigger on my TRD ORP

Parking brake: Just push the button by the shifter to turn it off.

8 beeps: I agree, the most useless warning ever. I live in a rural area, but still in other areas could bother neighbors which I do not appreciate. At least it uses a beeper rather than older cars that use the horn. I have not looked hard, but have also found no solution. Even Toyota, in their manual, says to never leave the fob in the car (which I never have or will) yet they warn you whan doing so. Not a reason for me to sell the vehicle or not get another, but really should be fixed.
