Scratched my strut shaft

Dont ask me how but I scratched the strut shaft . I tried sanding it will fine grit sandpaper but I can still feel it slightly with finger nail . Im so mad . Truck is brand new . Its about 1/2 way down the shaft . What do you guys think ? Am I going to have to replace ?

If I noticed that, I'd forget about it 15 seconds later and never think about it again.

And that's a big IF. I doubt I'd notice it.

Use emery board to remove sharp edges and fill it will clear nail polish. Key is to make sure you are not damaging any seals or bushings.

That's we we have done in suspension components for years.

Ya i used emery cloth and tried sanding it
. Its smooth but can still feel it with my nail. Never heard of the nail polish . Wondering how much of the shaft actually goes into the cartridge. Its a little higher then the 1/2 way point on shaft
