Running Boards - Toyota OEM or aftermarket

So far, the best upgrade I’ve made to my OR is remove those damn stock running boards. All they do is make it hard for tall people to get out. TBOM (The Boss of Me) isn’t pleased, but she doesn’t ride in it that often.

I don't have a "passenger friendly" vehicle so for sure I need a step of some sort for my grandmother (5') and my MIL (5'2") when I need to take them to the Dr or what not. My wrangler is definitely not passenger friendly, so this is the best I've got until the Tundra get's out of the body shop.

The folding plastic stools are great for smaller people, plus it gives us the opportunity to appear chivalrous.

If she doesn't drive it much...Just take your side off and leave hers on. I did that on my Tundra until the power running boards went on. Wife never caught on, and if she did, she'd have just laughed.

But removing the driver's side may very well balance it out a bit too, and correct that Toyota lean!

Nope, the damn running boards are staying off until I sell the beast. Which will probably be in about 8 to 10 years, assuming I make it that long. TBOM will have to hop in, or use the stool for a more graceful ingress.
