Hey guys, Weston with Rhino-Rack. Development is finally over, and the new 6th gen Reconn Platforms are in stock in Denver! Thanks to a couple members in this group who helped us with testing along the way. Couldn't be more excited to get these in hands of this community.

We have two variants for you folks: full length, and 3/4 for those wanting to up their carrying capability without seeing it from their sunroof.

Happy to answer any questions and hope to see these on the Colorado trails this season!

Looks great. More streamlined. I wonder if it makes any excessive wind noise.
Hey there! That’s my truck in the photos and I can tell you that there is wind noise as expected, but nothing crazy. I notice the drone of my exhaust more than the wind. I love the rack and the styling, I get a lot of compliments on it. No regrets 😁

Did you install this yourself?

Is it a simple bolt on application without any drilling on the truck or the product itself?

Have you noticed any MPG loss since installation?

I'll let him comment on any noticeable MPG loss. There is zero drilling to the vehicle, it utilizes the factory mounting points, but will you will need to cut a couple inch section of the weather stripping so the front press pads can press directly to the roof. Also the crossbars are not pretapped, so you'll just need to use a drill with the bolts to create the thread. Super simple, nearly impossible to mess up and only takes a few minutes.

Checkout this install on the GX550, I've linked to the appropriate section. Nearly identical install to the 4Runner.

Speaking to MPG, I would say I noticed about 1 mpg or a little less loss after installing. Worth it though.
