Remote start lights on?

Has anyone learned how to make the parking lights or headlights illuminate while the engine is running during remote starts? I miss that feature that my other vehicles had.

i havent remote started yet, it not really that cold yet to justify it, its only getting into 30-40F right now over night and 40-50s during the day at work.

it sits in the garage during the night so i dont remote start in the garage. only time i can remote start is at work consistently and its not even cold yet (too me at least).

it needs to start getting below 20F to be even cold for me to even think about remote starting. i only really need the steering wheel heater and seat warmers now.

maybe if it gets closer to 0F i will

when you open the door they shut off, but will stay on until you do.

also when you remote start, no lights stay on during remote start except the initial flashes confirming remote start.

so you cant do a visual verification the vehicle is still running. unless you can see the exhaust if its cold enough.

or stick your head out the door to hear the engine running.

i leave the lights on parking mode all the time except during night driving then i turn the headlights on. when i park i put them back on parking mode.

the above applies to our 23 tundra, it acts the same way. if you want lights on during remote start, either put the stalk in normal position or auto.
