I did indeed remove the rear spoiler, there’s a picture in the original post where the spoiler is on the ground and I’m drilling holes and mounting the rear camera.

I do not however remember how I fished the wire through on the left side of the rubber hose, no recollection of there being tape around the wire bundle as it exits the rubber hose on the hatch side.
