Rear Bumper Recommendations? Watch This.

Got my 4Runner after an 11 months wait. A month into it and this happened, still can’t figure out how or why.

It is a great time for a rear bumper update. I am contemplating a full width dissent bumper, but not quite loving the look? Any input is appreciated! TIA

minimal considering her car, so far I need a tailgate w/glass, bumper, spare tire assembly (it dropped on impact)…

Close Tenaya, man I’m tired of the lack of insurance and registrations…we pay the price through our premiums and still F’ed at the end…ugh

Wow, glad you came out of it. OK she was Hauling ass and not paying attention. I mean it’s not like she couldn’t see your vehicle as It’s twice a size of hers. My first question is which camera system are you using because it’s worth it’s weight in gold in this situation.You no linger have an excuse not to get yourself a bad ass indestructible rear bumper now. Next time someone in a car like that hits you in the rear and it will feel like a mosquito bumped into you. I have been looking at the dissent hard over last couple of months. that being said you have me thinking I should definitely invest in a camera quickly.

OP, I'm not trying to start any type of argument, and I'm truly sorry you got rearended, but why did you abruptly slow down? Obviously, it's still the responsibility of the driver behind you to maintain a safe follow distance, but you went from 40MPH in the beginning of the video to almost a standstill in roughly four seconds. I'm only asking, as right after the impact you moved forward quite a bit, not like there was something directly in front of you.

Right be fore impact, there’s a big ditch, then goes from 1 to 2 lanes, guy in front of me slowed to let car in the middle turn lane go…
