ORP rear door not closing

The rear door of the ORP is staying open. Pressing the close button at the rear gate and the key fob does nothing more than beeping. Anyone knows if the door closing mechanism is kaputs. Anything I can do more than driving to the service center with the door open. Please advise.

Gently manually close it and see if it'll latch. Theres possibly a reason its locked out. It might be detecting something you dont realize. Couldnt get my rear window to roll down from the outside i believe because the truck was running

Did just that and the door latched back. Since then working just fine. Thank you.

Well that's two hours of my life I'll never get back. This just happened with our ORP. Left the hatch open in the garage all night. Then today it wouldn't close. Tried all methods for closing and even unhooked the battery. Everything I tried resulted only in a double-beep and no movement.

I had reinstalled my spare tire yesterday and wondered if the foot-sensor was confused. So I lowered the tire again which did not help.

After an hour of searching, found this thread, gently pushed the door down (which is not easy), it latched, then magically started working again.
