It collapses and comes with a storage bag. I haven't tried yet but I believe it will fit inside the tent. However, I will probably store it in the back of the 4runner so I don't have to climb up the side to get to it. Rather just pull it out and hook it up.

I just asked on your other thread with the CBI bumper, but I think this would be the better thread for it. How did you mount your rtt to the rack? Did you use the westcott rtt mounting brackets?

I originally used the brackets that came with the tent however with only 4 brackets and as flexible as they were the tent would smack the cross bars on the rack so I actually ordered 2 sets of the brackets from Xtrusion. I had to uninstall each bar and mount it directly and precisely too the tent before lowering the tent back onto the rest of the rack. Time consuming but well worth it. Zero movement or rattle now. I used a total of 14 of the brackets in the attached pic. Probably overkill but it damn sure ain't going anywhere lol

That was one of the other options I found too. Im starting to lean that way since that keeps it lower than the Westcott mounts. Thanks!

Absolutely. Good luck and if you have any questions during the install don't hesitate to hit me up.

Once you got your rack complete and installed your RTT have you noticed significant decreases in gas mileage due to weight?

At best and bone stock I was getting around 19.5. Now with everything installed, gear, and luggage I get 17.5. It may not be the gas mileage that Toyota advertised but I can say this, the thing barely noticed the weight and drives just like it did off the lot. Would I prefer 25mpg? Sure. But I certainly can't complain about the performance.

That’s good to hear. I work a mobile bar and load a lot into my cargo area and can feel the weight when driving down the road. Also the maneuverability felt different.
I’m new at this so I’m still trying to figure out the best and most cost effective ways to start learning to do some overlanding.
I appreciate all the advice and feedback!

also, did you keep your rear seats installed or remove them?

Absolutely, glad to help if I can and yes I kept the back seats in. There's a separate post in here somewhere about the slide out and storage that I built/installed as well.

Yes, absolutely. It's lighter than the others in its category and the quality seems to be really good. We've used it a few times already without issue so I'd recommend it.
