also typical break in on toyota engines usually doesnt happen until after 10k miles for mpg to go up. mine hovered around 18-19 mpg until i broke around 8-9k miles and now its sits around 20-21 mpg for my daily driving.

also toyota has a built in restrictor for i think for downshifting past 2/3 rd gear manually until after 500 miles (think they dont want you breaking 4k rpm downshifting)

found that out accidentally when i tried it a few times when using the gear selector manually.

Would you mind telling me where you got that roof rack? I'm assuming you have a sunroof and the rack is still allowing you to use it when needed (of course, when the tent setup is not up there).
Let me know, I'm in Canada as well and would like to know where I need to go to get a nice roof rack like the Pinsu, etc.
