I know, off-road vehicle, but does not mean I can't baby her as much as possible. She deserves the best.

10 minutes to install all 4, still on sale on the Toyota Parts site. Just a bunch of pull tab 3M stickers.

So mine came with these panels installed at the port, but I don't get it... doesn't this just put one part that could get scuffed up on top of another part that could get scuffed up? Mine don't look to be any more scuff resistant than the door itself.

I mean, it looks nice, breaking up the door design with more of a two tone design, but I don't see the functional benefit.

Yeah, I guess the idea is the protector is cheaper to replace than the door panel itself.

I got them as a PIO on mine. The first thing that went. IMO much cleaner look without them. Also, the edges are not sealed, so it would inevitably collect debris behind them.

I thought nobody would want them so I threw them out. Should have offered them for sale here.:(

Were they hard to remove? Do you just pull until the sticker stops sticking?

What is the front skid plate hardware kit? bolts to install?
Yeah, 6 new bolts. Port/factory was kind enough to slightly strip my front two bolts. I tapped them but grabbed new bolts to have on hand too.

I'll see how long they last. You make a good point about the edges. The ones on my Outback were rubber, so a bit more protection.

I'd hit it with a hair dryer first, but yes, should be that easy.
They were mounted with narrow double sided tape. I did not bother warming it up. Just pulled on it carefully from one side and they popped off. It would be possible to loop and pull a piece of thin braided string behind the panels to help with the removal.
The hardest part was to clean up the leftover snots of the double sided tape.
