Hey guys! We've got something new from AAL: a mount for the Harbor Freight BADLAND 1.5 Ton Off-Road Jack.

If you've been figuring out where to keep your jack in your 4Runner cargo setup, we'd like to hear what you're working with. We built this mount around keeping the jack, both handle halves, and the Allen wrench together.

2025 2026 4runner 6th gen New From AAL: American-Made Badland 1.5-Ton Jack Mount + Cargo Setup Ideas Badland-Jack-Mount-1.5T-16

We cut and form the mount from 5052 aluminum right here in St. George, Utah. It weighs 3.3 lb and comes in Raw/Unfinished or Textured Black. We do the black powder coating in-house too.

A few details we worked into it:

  • Cushioned, offset supports hold both handle halves snug underneath the jack. The offset accounts for the foam-covered half being larger in diameter.
  • A small cradle tucks behind the Allen wrench release button to help keep the wrench with the jack.
  • A retaining bar uses the included hitch pin and R clip. The pin also accepts an optional padlock with a 3/16-inch shackle.
  • It ships fully assembled. You'll supply mounting hardware suited to your mounting surface, using 1/4-20 or M6 bolts.

This mount fits the BADLAND 1.5 Ton Off-Road Jack, item 70887, only. It doesn't fit the 3-ton model or other jacks. The jack, mounting hardware, and optional padlock aren't included.

For planning your setup, the mount has 7 mm holes with a 6-inch lengthwise and 3-inch crosswise center spacing. Check the hole layout and instructions against your mounting surface before deciding where to put it.

Installation instructions

Where would you want to mount your jack in your 6th-gen 4Runner? Tell us what cargo layout you're running and whether yours is a hybrid or non-hybrid. We'd like to understand what space you have available and how you'd get the jack in and out without unpacking everything.

And if you're carrying the 3-ton BADLAND instead, let us know. We're interested in hearing how much demand there is for that mount too.

Thanks, guys!

I don't have this jack, but man, this is a slick setup and now I'm seriously considering a Badlands jack for an off-road solution thanks to your ingenuity!
I would most likely want to mount it on the factory ARB roof rack since my cargo area is mostly packed with camping gear.

Ha ha! Thanks! That what I was hoping to hear.

It is actually a super nice jack. It's sturdy and I really like the extension that comes with it. I also like that you can bolt the extension to the jack pad. Having that firm attachment is really nice.

That is a nice bracket. Wish there was an easy place to mount it without a platform or drilling holes.

We bought our Badlands 1.5T when we had our previous Ford Ranger.

Have always carried it strapped down in a Costco tote with other misc gear.

If you ever change your mind about that platform, we have a great solution for that as well. The jack mount will bolt right in to the mounting pattern on our platform.
