Hey guys,

My wife has always wanted a 4 runner and we looked at them several times but the seating position was too low and was uncomfortable for me. Well, the 6th gen is not… TBH, I was trying to steer her towards a jeep because I am a jeep guy and currently jeepless, but this 4runner is just awesome. So, now she has her 4runner. Seeing as it is now also our primary offroader, we took it to an offroad event called Krawlin for the fallen. I have to admit… I was surprised at its’ capability. The turning radius is way better than a 4 door wrangler and on road it handles way better. Anyways, the vid is of her driving it on one of the small obstacle courses. And I took it over the rock garden they had and it handled it with ease, although the diff did drag on a piece of concrete and I thought my wife was going to shank me from the passenger seat.

A quick pic of both of our rigs I believe the day we brought her 4 runner home.

mine is a ram PW, and I have never been a fan of bronze wheels but on the white vehicle… I think I may go bronze on my ram.

Awesome!! Same here! I have a storm trooper PW and ORP…. Well my wife has the ORP that I get to take care of! Never thought I’d like the bronze on white. Sharp!

Jacked- Westcott rack and molle panels.

JW - tires are Toyo Open Country A/Ts 285/75/17 and the wheels are I believe a zero offset. Stealership put ‘em on and they need to be like a +15 offset I think.

duke, AZ Flag - Yeah. I really like my PW. I actually took it on all the trails at Krawlin as well since it gad to tow our camper out there. I registered it there for the event and my bro in law asked me why I was “wasting the money” on registering it and I told him that I was going to take it on the trails. He said “I guess you just really want to destroy your truck then” funny enough. It fit down all the trails (barely) and never got stuck. However, he got high centered in his JLUR on one of the obstacle courses and my PW pulled him out.

then again. The PW is replacing both my work truck and Gladiator so, I should probably not play too much in it. I will say… I miss my gladiator.

For what its worth (nuthin’) I also maintain a slightly built 2009 Rubicon jku. It’s been relegated to a toad for pulling behind the RV. Anyway…. My PW has hit 98% of the off-roading I’ve done in the jk across the western US. Aside from the AZ pinstripes and constant paint correction work it has never failed me or gotten stuck! My experience is most issues are operator error when off roading. Some things aren’t avoidable. Stuff happens! I highly recommend training if you are a serious off roader or overlander. Pays dividends in the long run.
