No rub at all with this set up, took the set up on a mild off road trail and no rubbing
When you say "mild off road trail", I'm assuming that there wasn't much that would cause you to articulate your suspension?

I'm aiming for a similar setup but hesitant to go with 285s because I'm not sure how close it will be when fully articulated.

Honestly not sure, the trail definitely was rocky in some places but im unsure of how far suspension articulated. But from reading around on 285s on stock SR5 suspension seems like no owners have experienced any issues.

Looks great I did the same tires. Just wondering did you notice the ride change? Mine is super stiff now. Love the look but bummed how crappy it rides
Honestly have no complaints with the ride I didn’t notice any major changes. Take with a grain of salt though as I came from a Subaru that was lowered quite a bit and was a stiff ride lol

Honest opinion how does the quality of the sr5 feel? Kinda bummed you can't get heated seats on a base model. She looks good though.

You probably don’t want aftermarket wheels then. FACTORY offset wheels won’t have this problem at all. In fact I had 285’s on the 5th gen’s I just traded in and it wasn’t an issue with factory trd wheels. I bought 4th gen Tacoma trd off-road wheels powder coated black. I have tires sitting in my garage. Tempted to just install them before the lift

Make sure you didn’t go with E rated tires. Stick with C load. If you have 18” wheels I’d switch to 17 as every other option available is only E load

Any “premium” model will have heated and cooled seats

The quality isn’t terrible but there is a good amount of plastic in the vehicle (same goes for every other trim tbh). At first I was skeptical about the cloth seats but they’re actually pretty comfy. Do miss dual climate control but heated seats I personally never used them in my old car. Reason I went with the SR5 is that I already plan on changing alot of things out for aftermarket so no point in spending extra for different suspension and stuff when its eventually going to be removed.

I also have an sti and want to make the jump over. My sti is nice but Subaru interiors aren’t “premium”, but it would be hard to give up those heated seats.

I get you, at first I didn’t want to get rid of mine but the increased oil burning and random coolant loss was enough for me to part ways. If it helps, the only thing I really miss is driving manual lol, I don’t really miss the car that much I had my fun already

Exactly this, 17s and C loads are the way!

Aren't those 18's?

There's no reason to not get aftermarket wheels at all. It just depends on the width and offset. If wheels in the 20ish range don't clear, I can always go to a higher offset. Just kind of strapped for choice at the moment.

They are 17 inch wheels from a 2024 Tacoma trd off road powder coated all black.
