My Journey for a new 6th gen Platinum

platinum update after having it for a few days now that some of you might be interested in. It came with locking lug nuts on all wheels which I did not order or was not charged for, problem at hand is the dealer does not have the factory wheel lug nuts but they said they would look into it. It also came with a bunch of other stuff i did not order and was not charged for, first aid kit, rear compartment safety net, 2 horns under hood sounds great, alloy matching spare wheel. I have a couple hundred miles on it now and I can say its a very quiet ridding car, tons of power that will push you up 80 before you know it, all good

um those are standard on the plat trim even though its not listed in the brochure.

the lug nut adapter should have been in one of the cardboard boxes that came with the vehicle or in the plastic bag with the plug adapter for the hitch

try looking in the cubby hole in the back in front of and behind the battery hump

Have any of you guys waiting for it to arrive put your vin into the Toyota app yet? I did a few weeks ago, nothing was really there but last week, more options popped up and it’s now showing errors in the health tab. Mine still does not show processed yet per my update from dealer this morning.

as soon as i got my official vin i put it into the app and added it via the toyota owners website.

but until the head unit is registered, nothing will get reported to the website/app

update 2025-09-30, as of yesterday it was in pasco, wa leaving portland, or on the 25th.

i imagine it was longer that the distance suggest since it had to run up to seattle first.

You will have to wait to connect to the vehicle via Bluetooth. Since you added the vin you may have to remove the vehicle and re add via QR code on the infotainment system. That’s what I had to do lol.

The dealer I'm buying through is about 3.5hrs away and there is a lot of nice hilly backroad routes that ill be driving back on and absolutely cant wait!! Had a co-worker (who is a 5th gen owner) show up with a rental 6th gen SR5 the other day at work and I took it out for a little spin, and even driving that thing just made me so excited to get mine. Im sure Nodak is in the same boat being so close to it arriving!

Got a call from my dealer today, it’s supposed to arrive tomorrow! Unfortunately next two days for me are packed full of other commitments so I won’t be able to make it out there until Monday or Tuesday! I haven’t felt this way since being a kid on Christmas Eve!
