isnt that what a roof rack is for? Once I get my roof rack I can put a lot of things in containers up top and have more room in the cargo space.

I've looked into roof racks and generally have found them to be cost prohibitive to me once you start adding in various containers, a ladder for the rear hatch, etc..etc...I've also looked into trailer hitch carriers and those generally seem pretty sketchy to me. I have visions of my stuff being strewn all over the highway.

I also question my ability to load stuff onto and off of the roof, I just had a rotator cuff repair done, and suspect the other shoulder will need something done to it in the next couple of years so lifting things up and over my head isn't as easy as it was ten years ago.

All that said, I'll probably end up re-thinking my car camping setup. In the past I'd take a 10x10 canvas tent, cot, large propane stove, large tank of propane, cooler, etc..etc..I guess if I can get myself setup in a more minimalist fashion and maybe get a tent that attaches to the rear of the vehicle it may make things simpler for me.

Plenty of length to sleep inside, 80ā€ when the front seat is moved all the way up. Here’s my Helebox set up.
I haven’t ordered a mattress yet, I wanted to make sure it fit properly first.

have to say that is one of the most unique attack on a sleeping space for the 6th gen

completely solves the hump issue

but you need foot pads for those legs, otherwise over time they will cut thru whatever is underneath as can be seen on the right leg already digging in

like the old fashion rubber square/circles for heavy furniture

Thatā€˜s what I’m thinking, too.

The engineer who designed the 6th gen. Was probably an average height Japanese gentleman, and he was comfortable. But neglected the fact that some of us are a bit taller.šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

I just ordered the Helebox. It will give you 6’. You just have to put the front seat forward. The front legs are longer so they reach the floor in front of the back seat. The back legs are shorter and clear the back seat to give you a flat bed. No affiliation.

See post #32 in this thread. It’s a great solution for sleeping in the 6th gen.

Wow! Looks great. Plenty of room underneath for some luggage as well. Thanks!
