Twice yesterday during my commute home from work on a normal two lane highway I had the ACC engaged and set to provide the maximum distance between myself and the car in front of me.
I encountered two instances where a car was parked on the shoulder, well past the white line thats on the right side of the roadways and the braking system on the ACC engaged when it saw both of them. The second time scared the shit out of me because it dropped speed hard and fast.
Is this a malfunction or is this system just not good enough to discern between a car parked on the side of the road and a car that is in front of you ( I find that very odd if thats the case ).
