Hello all. Thanks for accepting me here. Been seeing this when I started looking into buying a 4Runner.
My first 3 vehicles growing up were jeep cherokees. A โ€˜92, โ€˜89 4WD, and a โ€˜99. Tore them all up. Went through a phase of getting really bad vehicles that caused nothing but nightmares through most of my 20s. Tried them allโ€ฆChevy, dodge etc. My was big on Toyota since she had a Camry with 322k miles and still ran great. So I bought a 2015 Toyota Tacoma v6 pre runner 2WD off the lot with 12 miles on it. That Truck was amazing. Never had issues, never leaked oil or broke down. I drove it hard and it just kept going. That truck got to me to so many places. I moved to Utah a few years ago and found that the ole 2WD just wasnโ€™t going to pass these mountain winters and needed to upgrade. After much research and looking around at options I landed on the only possible vehicle that could replace the Tacoma, which btw I traded with 348k miles, was the other legendโ€ฆthe Toyota 4Runner. So today I traded the Tacoma for the newer much nicer upgraded off road premium 4Runner. Drove about 50miles on it today and it is different but seems solid. Hoping to start my 4Runner journey and continue the tradition of excellence with Toyota!!
Attached are pics of my outgoing Tacoma today at the lot and the new 4Runner.

Welcome Joseph and thanks for sharing your Toyota ownership story. 350K on the Taco issue-free is amazing! You got your money's worth and more on that one.

Congrats on the upgrade to the 4Runner. Now jump right in the water's warm here :D

New member from Kelowna bc. just put a deposit on a heritage blue trd off road premium hybrid. I recently sold my 2019 trd off road premium in silver because I wanted a little more from the drivetrain in terms of power and responsiveness. dealership said it would be 6-9 months for the 2026 4runner I ordered to come in so I'll wait patiently and continue to drive the 2006 Mazda6 I currently own. this will be the 4th Toyota that i've owned, so clearly I'm quite the Toyota loyal customer. looking forward to my new truck. thanks

Hi, my name is James. I just picked up a 2025 Trd pro and my last Toyota was a brand new second GEN 1990 Toyota SR5. I only have about 500 miles on the Trd pro so far and it really drives nice and the gas mileage is much better.

Hi from the small state of Delaware! My wife and I just picked up our first Toyota this morning - 2025 TRD ORP in Everest. We come from a very large history of Jeep ownership (17 of them by my count) and wanted to try something new for a change. We still have her TJ on 35"s for the beach, but this 4runner replaced a 2013 4-door Wrangler that always seemed plagued by brake issues and poor shifting.

It has the roof rack which will come in handy to hold a solar panel to keep our cooler charged and I'm a big fan of the TRD black wheels. I waffled back and forth on to Max or not to Max but ultimately kept things a little simpler without the battery. Haven't programmed a thing yet but plan to head outside and start getting things set up for us - seats, hatch, all the screen settings, etc. Can't wait to start some new adventures!

2025 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium
Never did introduce myself. My name is Jennifer and I live in a small town in Western WA. Last month I got a 2025 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium. I LOVE it! It was time to replace my 2011 Nissan Armada and we did a lot of research, test driving and more research. We had a 2004 4Runner years ago so I thought the 2025 would be a good replacement for the Armada. And it is! I'm not a big off-roader but I love the beefy look of the 4Runner, the features and the ride. I'm learning a lot from this forum so thank you to everyone!

2025 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium, 2021 RAV4 AWD hybrid
Whatโ€™s your vehicle history / background?

I just picked up my first 4Runner yesterday โ€” a 2025 TRD Off Road Premium. My family also has a Toyota RAV4 that we love, and before this I was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. The Jeep fit my needs on paper (towing a camper, handling mountain roads to our Colorado cabin, being โ€œgreenโ€ for work), but in reality it was a nightmare โ€” 20 recalls and constant warranty trips over 20 months. That finally pushed me to make the switch.

What attracted you to the 6th gen 4Runner?

I needed something reliable, capable of towing, and ready for mountain terrain when needed. This 6th gen 4Runner checked all the boxes and happened to arrive at the perfect time โ€” just off the boat from Japan. While I originally thought Iโ€™d go with a more highway-friendly version, Iโ€™m already enjoying the TRD Off Road Premium and daydreaming about mods. Iโ€™m not much of an off-roader yet, but Iโ€™m excited to learn from this community and maybe start with some easy Colorado trails.

Hello, just found my way to your group. Took delivery of our 5th Runner. Non hybrid Limited in Supersonic red with the portobello interior. Definitely looks better in person than the photos. Still getting familiar with things but so far happy without the electrification. Having

Hello everyone. I'm a new member from East Tennessee, and I also spend a whole lot of time in Nevada and sometimes Idaho. I like to travel fast in the desert and play on trails and rocks too, so I ended up deciding on the TRD Pro. I just placed a deposit on one that is supposed to arrive in October or November. I'm a former owner of the revived Bronco (kept it for three years), but I grew tired of dealing with cracking roof panels, leaks, and several comparatively minor complaints. I'm looking forward to having capability, comfort, and style. I've got a few questions for you guys, but I'll put them in the appropriate sub-forums. If everything goes according to plan, I'll be in Laughin, Las Vegas, and the Mojave/Great Basin areas in late November, December, or January for several weeks if anyone wants to hit the trails.
