Hello everyone,

Just joined, but wanted to thank everyone for all the information here, been reading for many months during my tedius 8 months research process. After test driving several models, my final choice went for the 4Runner.

Got my Platinum 3 weeks ago and absolutely love it. Of course, huge upgrade from a base 2015 Rav4.

-removed the plastic air dam in front
-removed the running board, could not stand them, so much better getting in and out and I prefer that look
-got TRD wheels and Toyo Open Country AT3
-changed for the TRD Pro heritage grill and added the red lettering overlay
-added the OEM skid plates
-block heater and trickle charger

Don't think I will be doing more at the moment aside from potentially de-badging it.

Hi All... my name is Arlen. I took delivery of an Ice Cap ORP last week and love it.

My previous vehicle was a 2020 Wrangler Unlimited that I lifted, with sliders, aftermarket bumpers, etc. etc. etc. Not my first truck or 4runner actually, but my first offroad project vehicle. I researched the hell out of everything and bought quality parts. Did a lot of work myself. It was cool for awhile and I loved having the top/doors off (the only differentiating factor IMO) and did some wheeling. I planned on keeping it for a long time...but after many issues, dealing with disgruntled advisors and techs, and Stellantis I could no longer write it all off as a Jeep thing. Before the Jeep I had a '13 Mustang GT that had the typically performance mods... I did a lot of wrenching on that too. My first 4Runner was a 2008 2wd Sport.

I had been thinking about a 4Runner again as one of the last legit SUVs being built on a frame along with Toyota's reputation... hopefully the 6gen will live up to the expectations. Initially I thought I'd lift, put bigger tires, etc.... but I'm gong to fight the urge to do anything mechanically drastic for awhile. It's already built way better than the Jeep with real parts, has legit capability and looks awesome out of the box.... basically the opposite of a Wrangler. That said I will tinker here and there and already took off that front air dam afterthought, LED turn signals and blacked out the front sombrero. Next mod is to get that damn rattle coming from the passenger A pillar.

Anyway... I'll be here for awhile. Nice to meet you all. A.

2026 4Runner TRD Off Road
Good morning from NE Oregon. After many years without a Toyota (the last was a 1996 T100), I’ve rejoined the fold. Tomorrow is pickup day for a 2026 TRD Off Road. It will tow my Pika teardrop, and transport a brace of German Wirehair pointers as I chase fish, chukars and huns, and explore the eastern side of Oregon.

I look forward to learning about the mods that others have made to extend range and comfort in the backcountry.

Lots of good info from everyone on this forum! I found my Everest ORP by using the allocation google doc.

I've done all the small easy things to mine: skid plate, tow hooks, lasfit mats, fitcam dash cam, new wheel center caps, raptor lights, and went with Yokohama Geolander AT4s because they do very well in the snow and I'm don't care for super aggressive sidewalls. I'll need

Any rafters here that pull a trailer?

Interested to see/read from others on 6Gen 4Runners.
First 4Runner purchase, but long time Toyota owner. Purchased the 6Gen for wife since all previous vehicles she 'drove' always get beat up on curbs.

New guy here recently starting to look at a New 4R ORP, possibly hybrid since now you can order the SDM with them. Currently have a 24 Audi RS3 that is my nice weather, cars & coffee car. Will have that 2 years in June and only have 3800 miles on it. Now looking at the 4R as my wife and I purchased a 66 Nova that I'm currently building it into pro touring car in my garage. That will turn into my nice weather, cars & coffee car for the fam so now thinking of getting rid of the RS3 (I always need one fast/show car in the garage). Previously have had a JL Rubicon (2.0 turbo) and new Bronco (2.7 twin turbo). Loved the Rubicon but hated the on road driving. Loved the new Bronco due to the interior space and marine grade interior but had Ford issues (roof leaking, horn randomly going off) so got rid of that.

Always loved the 4R but I'm a tech nerd as well and need the nicer interior with all the tech so the 6th gen def is something I'm looking at. Went to a dealer recently just to sit in the ORP they had on the lot and really liking it. Haven't test drove one yet but will eventually.

Just wanted to introduce myself and will be on the forums learning while I wait and decide what I want to do.
Post pics of the Nova when you're done.

I just came from a 23 OBW. Unfortunately, I was rear ended and it was totaled. Made the jump to a 25 TRD Pro and love it. The Subie had my heart, and I miss it. But I absolutely love the 4Runner.

My OBW.

Hello! My names Brad and I have a TRD Off-Road Premium ordered and supposed to arrive in July. This will be my first 4Runner and I can't wait! I went with the 6th Gen because this is the first new car I have ever purchased and wanted the most up-to-date vehicle possible.
