I could not find the PDF anywhere and the one place that claimed to have them, the link was dead. I finally noticed I had paper instructions in my glove box, so I thought I';d share just in case anybody wants or needs them.

I recently removed mine. They were making so much wind noise! I thought I had a sunroof seal problem. Dealer said its the cross members. Once I removed them, the ride from Texas to Colorado is so much better. That's an option I did not want but dealer insisted. Shame on Toyota.

I put surfboard rack pads on my oem crossbars and the wind noise sounded like you were in a Blackhawk helicopter at highway speeds! Removed them and the noise is gone. If my only 6 Gen complaint is not having rack pads on my crossbars, I’ll take it!

Noise comes from the front bar and is worst when front bar is fully forward and directly in the airflow. Recommended position for front bar is 12 inches back from full forward; there should be stickers on your roof rails showing quietest position.

I recently had to reinstall mine to carry some large pieces of metal, so put them in the frontmost and rearmost positions. Maybe I just do not hear that sound, but I have heard no noticeable wind noise from when they were not installed. Make sure they are installed correctly--I have not tried the "wrong" way, but the edge with the small lip goes forward (the opposite from what I would expect).
