Installing volume knob - how to get access to the back of the air vent?

well it depends. the 8in screen has the volume knob in the bottom left of the screen.

the 14in screen has the volume knob between the vents.

since he is doing a retro fit, and didnt buy a kit with instructions, he will have to get a dash expanded view to see how to remove the vents.

i am guessing he will need to pull the center console stack and maybe the center console lower section to get access to remove the vents to install the retro fit vent cover with volume control module

thats if he ordered the volume control module which i am guessing he didnt since he is asking how to get to the volume control knob.

also will have to order the wire harness to connect the volume control knob.

not sure what they ordered since its just a random post with hardly any details.

you will need to get a exploded view of the center console to figure out what needs to be taken apart.

maybe someone with access to a parts breakout or exploded view can help.
