Hi guys, I just got the Bluetti Car Charger 2, and I’m trying to decide where to put it so it doesn’t get dinged or hit by suitcases, beach chairs, and other things.

This spot looks good, although charger might be a bit smaller than in the picture. The wiring comes from the bottom. I could turn it upside down, but it would look a bit messy, even though it would be easier to use. I’m thinking of wiring it through this console for the third row seats. I’ve seen some recent posts that say there’s a lot of space there, easy accessible when you take of upper shelf trim. Maybe I could find some nice flush mounts for the MC4 and XT60 connectors, since those are the only ones I’d be plugging in and out, but I am ok even using some rubber grommet

I think I will have trouble mounting charger onto the tiny plastic trim. It doesn’t seem very secure at all. Charger has mounting points on both sides, but I’m not sure what’s on the other side, and I’d prefer not to use self-tapping screws. Does anyone know any mounting plates that I could fasten with 3M tape to the plastic trim and then screw charger plate? Charger needs to be removed to connect or disconnect wires.

I would make sure you have room on the bottom for the cables to come out. Take a look at them and make sure you have room to bend them. Also, make sure you leave room for it to vent and breathe. Here’s where I put mine. Passenger side rear interior Molle panel.

The Charger 2 is wired to the starter battery and the smart alternator. It’s a smart device you can control with an app. It draws power off the battery making sure it does not exceed what the alternator is doing. From the Charger 2 you can charge all sorts of stuff while driving, like a power station and your fridge. You can also supplement the draw from the battery with solar. I also have the DC hub which connects to the Charger 2 and gives me USB and C and other plugs to charge even more stuff. It’s basically an alternative to running a dual battery system.

I've been trying to decide on a location too. Probably going to need to be somewhere on the passenger side though

This is a great overlanding setup! I was considering vent orientation, which is why I like the sunken area on the left, as It will still give room if I put a large suitcase next to the wheel arch. Do you think it needs some space on the back part (where there’s no vent)?

I might add some spacers. And one last question: if there’s no load, will this not work at all? I’d just occasionally put a Bluetti Elite 200 to charge, but it won’t be permanently installed.

On passenger side there is compartment for car jack, it would be hard to play with cables around it. And also I am not sure if cable that comes with it will be long enough.
