I've decided to get a 4Runner. I want an ORP, and two additional things (the rest don't matter). I want it in Everest, and it needs to have no moonroof (I am too tall for a 4Runner with a moonroof). My local dealer is trying to spot one for me and is willing to do a dealer trade in allocations if they can find one for me.

Anyone have one of these? If you are aware of an allocation with these features, can you let me know?

Yes, there are a few out there or on their way.

First check out the 4runner.csv file here:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1uOnNR7wVHN6o5rTjcMhVsNL3SKq5UJwC

Hopefully you can use Excel.

Filter for ORP in Col. B
Everset in Col. C
and in Col. AO, select "Does not Contain" and type in Moonroof

Here comes the tricky part. As far as I know, dealers cannot swap from dealers outside of a "Toyota region," or one adjacent, and I'm not exactly sure where those borders are. For example, I'm in New York. If I find a vehicle in Idaho that I want, my local dealer won't be able to swap it in. Best they could do is get something from Maryland to Maine. At least that's my understanding/what I've been told...maybe that's not all the way true.

Assuming it's true, you next need to filter out a bunch of states in Col. T that would not be in the "Midwest" (basing this from your profile).

Filtering for states such as: AR, IN, IA, KS, MO, NE, SD, I see 15 vehicles either at dealer or in production. The next step is to filter out the "DealerHolds," which are probably (but not 100%) reserved by another customer. Doing so, yields you 7 vehicles from this list.

It's great to hear that Toyota is actually building vehicles that have my basic requirements. I don't mind waiting for the right build, and am also going to be trading in my current car, although my trade in value will depreciate fairly quickly with a long wait (recent model higher end Audi), so going somewhere far away to do all of that probably doesn't work for me. I am just hoping that one of my local dealers (two are currently trying to wrangle an allocation for me). One of them asked for a deposit before they had an allocation, which seemed weird, but they gave me a written quote for the trade in and the new 4Runner with total out the door cost to me, which seemed worth giving them a refundable deposit. The other dealer only asked for a copy of my ID to search for the allocation, and once they find it, I give them a deposit (which makes more sense to me).

My experience (not sure if it's applicable any more) is that Carmax will give you really close to the same as trade-in at almost any dealer. In some cases, even more.

I'd sell my car to them (if possible) and widen my net to places I could drive home from in a day. Ideally from a region that isn't Gulf States Toyota or SE Toyota distributors. Because they're just the worst.

I always get a queue from carmax/carvana negotiate price of vehicle and if they ask about a trade say I can see what they offer and negotiate that based on what I know I can get from the others.

Good point. I have thought about that. That especially makes sense because I could avoid losing value on my current trade in (currently worth almost as much as the new price on the 4Runner), which is tied to wanting to buy one now, even though my current car is great. One advantage of a trade in here is that it cuts off almost all the sales tax on the 4Runner (which is 6.875%) here in MN, meaning a trade in fetches me an additional $4,000.

Yup. Carmax is quick and easy and very close to a number you'll have to fight to get from almost any dealer.

I should throw out there that I've only traded once in my life, and sold to Carmax once (I've sold several business vehicles to carmax, but that's another story lol). Every other time, I've sold my old vehicle private party (not a tax benefit to trade in where I live). Carmax is crazy convenient and really, really easy. Especially when compared to the shitshow of deception most dealers are at every step of the process. Having a single-number to negotiate with a dealer removes several places where they try to fleece you.

Yes, it is possible to find this exact configuration, but you are looking for a rare "needle in a haystack" build.

I was thinking that my specifications might be too narrow for them to find anything. I wonder if it would help if I broaden the colors I allowed. I test drove a black off-road without a moonroof, but it was not a premium. I really want a premium. Although I think I would be OK with black even if I preferred Everest.

Good luck finding one where the dealer doesn't add all the BS accessories to drive the price up...

When I test drove, it was the Cutting Edge color and I loved it. I wanted that or Heritage Blue. Since the HBs were harder to find, I settled on the Cutting Edge but it was gone by the time I went back. I ended up with black since its all that was available locally and within several hours, but I regret it the more I see the Cutting Edge online.

All that to say if you want the Everest, Id wait on the Everest. I let my impulses win and wish I hadnt

It’s not the color. It’s the options, specifically the sunroof and additional bs accessories. Everest is everywhere.
